The Pollock Family ADU Construction Project in San Marcos

The Pollock family of San Marcos wanted to build an ADU for their aging parents. They wanted the place to be safe, have the right accessibility features, and be comfortable and convenient. This presented a challenge to us. After getting the required permits, we started the work. The first challenge was getting the utility connection. Getting the water supply was particularly tough. However, after sorting that out, we moved to build the overall structure of the ADU. We build the unit as a large studio without many walls or partitions to ease the movement. The bathrooms and the bed area had grab bars installed. The ADU was attached to the main home and we ensured that the unit could be accessed from the main home. After everything was done, we checked the unit before scheduling the final inspection by the City Office.
